STILL WATERS
A photographic study of stillness along the French Atlantic coast.
CALM WATERS
QUITE MOMENTS
& STILLNESS.
There is a quietness at the coast that only reveals itself when everything slows down.
In this series, the sea is not defined by movement, but by stillness. Long exposures dissolve the waves into soft layers, reducing the landscape to its essence. What remains are subtle transitions, gentle lines, and a sense of space that feels almost infinite.
The fishing huts, standing alone in the water, become silent witnesses. Suspended between land and sea, they add a fragile human presence to an otherwise minimal world. Their structures appear almost like drawings, reduced to lines and shapes against a muted horizon.
These images are not about the power of the ocean, but about its calm moments. Moments where time stretches, where sound fades, and where the boundary between sea and sky begins to disappear.
“Still Waters” is an invitation to pause.
To step away from the noise, and to find stillness in simplicity.
