My Botanical Studies series is about discovering the overlooked—shapes, lines, and structures we often pass by in daily life. What began nearly a decade ago, inspired by Ernst Haeckel’s Kunstformen der Natur and my early fascination with schoolbook illustrations of flora and fauna, has grown into an ongoing photographic exploration.
For over 10 years, I’ve been photographing botanical forms in a minimalist black-and-white style—rendering them almost like pencil sketches. Each image is reduced to its essence, presented against a clean background that highlights the object’s quiet elegance, structure, and stillness.
